ASP.NET 2, Ajax and AR.NET
We are looking to move to ASP.NET 2 but we have some questions for DD.

  1. Can the End User Designer be used on a webpage
  2. Can AR.NET take advantage of Ajax methodologies
  3. Will ANYTHING be lost if all code is server side and no controls will be installed on the client PC.  This includes exporting.

Thanks

Re: ASP.NET 2, Ajax and AR.NET
Any thoughts from DD?  I need to put together a list of all software that I need to purchase by the end of the year.

Thanks

Re: ASP.NET 2, Ajax and AR.NET

1. The End User Designer is not supported on the web.
2. I have not heard of any users using the Ajax methodology with ARN nor is it something that we test.  I would recommend using the trial version to see if it will do exactly what you are looking to do.
3. I would say you should be able to do most if not everything you want to do server side but it really depends on what all that you are wanting to do.

Re: ASP.NET 2, Ajax and AR.NET
Are there any plans to make the end user designer work on webforms?

Thanks
