HOWTO: Defining Colors by RGB Values

From the Property Grid in the Visual Studio .NET IDE, you can enter RGB values for any color-based property by deleting the default color name and entering your RGB values.

To enter a color in either the Graph Wizard or Chart Designer to a specific RGB color value, you need to add it as a custom color before it can be used.

Here are steps for setting a Title's Backdrop color to specific RGB values from inside the Graph Wizard or Chart Designer.

  1. Open the Titles Collection Editor.
  2. Select the Title you wish to change.
  3. Expand the BackDrop property.
  4. Expand the Color property.
  5. Select the Custom tab.
  6. Right-click one of the empty boxes below the normal color selection.
  7. Enter your RGB values.
