Files & level of access needed to run ActiveReports?

I have narrowed my earlier issue down to the following:

The client is operating in a managed environment, so the users do not have
access to modify files in certain directories on their c:\ drive. When I
run ActiveReports in test mode on a managed machine, the application
crashes. When it is run in unmanaged mode, it works fine.

So, my question is what directories & files does AR need access when
generating a report or export in run-time? And what level of access (read,
create, edit, delete)?

Thanks,
Chris

Hello Chris--

You will need access to the reporting engine and the export filters and any
other the other components that you may be using.

When exporting you will need full access to the directory that you are
exporting to. When you export it will create a temporary file during the
export in the directory that you are exporting and then will delete that
file so you will need access to do that.

Trent,

I'm still confused as to why it is working in unmanaged environment, but not
in the managed. In both cases, the user has read rights to the reporting
engine.

Thanks,
Chris

Hello Chris--

Is it throwing any exceptions?

Can you tell me what build you are running and how I might be able to
reproduce the behavior that you are seeing?
