Cyndichatman,
In the rdlx that you have provided I do not see any matrix in the banded list header. Can you try to create a new report and place only a single matrix in the detail section and the header section and see if you are able to recreate the error message.
Thanks,
Gaurav

In the attached report, matrix1 is in the banded list header and matrix2 is in the detail section.

Cyndi,
I have tried creating a similar report as your's using matrix in banded list groupheader and detail section. It uses Reels database as the datasource. Can you please try to modify this report to replicate the issue.
Thanks,
Gaurav

Here you go. I simplified the report to make is as least complicated as possible. The data in the report does not make sense, but it causes the error message. I also attached my version of the reels database. Mine was slightly different (Products table is named Product and my product ids start at 1000). Playing around with this version of the report, I think the secret to getting the error is to apply a filter to the matrix. I currently have a filter of productID equals 1000. If I remove the filter, the error message goes away.

Hi Gaurav -
Have you had a chance to look more into this one? We are really close to releasing our product and would like to resolve this issue prior to release.
Thanks,
Cyndi

Hi Cyndi,
Scott is correct; this is at the top of our maintenance backlog and is the next item to be worked on.

Thanks. That did fix the error. However, I modified my report and I am unfortunately not getting the result I was looking for. What I was hoping is that I would be able to pull all my matrixes and list controls inside of a banded list. Put my column headings in the banded list header and set that the banded list header should repeat on each page. I am however getting a alot of white space between the lists contained in the banded list body, and no repeated header on each page (in print preview mode). The fundamental issue is that I need to be able to put a matrix in the report header and repeat the matrix on each page. If you look at the attached report, can you offer any ideas? I have investigated combining all the matrixes into one matrix, but do not see how to do and format the report as required.

Hello Cyndi,
Its good to hear that you were able to surpass the initial error message. I will go ahead and take a look at the sample provided by you and share my observation with you.
Thanks,
Gaurav
