Need to run cubes in Windows 7
We have owned and used version 2.0 for a number of years.

We are now moving our machines to Windows 7 (32bit) is there any way we can upgrade the software to the latest version?

If not can you recomend another way to run our datacubes?

Thank you, Dan

danjts,

Do you have some particular problems about using DynamiCube on Windows 7? Please describe in more details. Also, we have general article about DynamiCube on Windows Vista (it also applies to Windows 7):

Thank you,

Re: Need to run cubes in Windows 7
Hi,

We found that on Windows 7 / SQL2K8, Dcube 3.0 is having some problem in Connection. It not able to connect server and give error Extend Info . Login failed...

Even the application running the Cube Report, already connected with SQLServer 2008 and same connection string passed to Dcube.

Any Idea, what could be the the reason of problem.

Re: Need to run cubes in Windows 7
Hello Mohammad,

From the error message, it seems that there has been a problem with the login details when connecting to the Server. Could you please double-check the connection string in the DynamiCube and make sure that you have passed in the appropripriate login and password(if required) for the database in it?

Regards,
Prantik
