Hello, I've created a local cube using a relational data source. When I attempt to connect to the cube using a LocalCubeDataSource, I get the following error:
{"Index, value and type expected for group value"}
It looks as if something is corrupt in the file. I've remade the file a couple of times with the same results.
Oddly, if I connect directly using a relational data source everything works. So I know my data and schema are OK.
I can attach the cube file, but it's quite large (4.5 megs).
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Eric

Eric,
In order to further test this issue I would request you to provide me the cube file that you are generating at your end. You can upload this file at our FTP site. The link is given below:
https://grapecity.sharefile.com/r-r7cde1ffa56b42c79
Apart from that please let me know the DataDynamics Analysis version you are using using.
Thanks,
Gaurav

I am having the same problem with one exception. I first get an error indicating "Failed to open connection to data source. Ensure server is running. Connection string was: 'C:\mylocalCube.ddacube'
Attached is the local cube saved with the SaveLocalCubeOptions.Uncompressed option. It looks corrupt near the end of the file.
version 2.0.396.0

Hello,
I was able to replicate the issue with your cube file. However, I am unable to reproduce this issue in any any other application that I create. I tried to save the cube with SaveLocalCubeOptions.Uncompressed option from SQL database connection. Later I was able to load this cube file. I also made sure that the SQL server was not running while loading the cube file.
Could you please provide me with the steps to replicate this issue at my end.
Regards, Aashish

Extract the attached zip to your c drive.
Then replicate this in the win viewer by:
1- Loading the included fast.analysis layout. 2- File -> Save local cube... 3- File -> Open local cube...
I don't know if this matters, but I am running 64bit Windows 7.

jrg0839,
how did you create this xls file? Do you use any 3rd party software? I was able to replicate this issue with your xls file. But with every other xls file, I do not get this exception. Can you try with any other xls. You may find one sample excel database in: C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\My Documents\GrapeCity\ActiveAnalysis\DataSources\RealEstate

I used Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. I copied from a query that I had by right-clicking on the result set and Copy with Headers. I then pasted into Excel 2007.
I don't think it would be anything wrong with the Excel file. Maybe it is something with the data itself?
