How to avoid the more blank space in one page?
|
|

|
When there is more than one pages in the report why the content starts in the new page even though there is enough space in the last page and left much blank space in the last page?

Hello,
Can you please provide us a report file along with sample data in which the content gets shifted to the next page even though there is much space left in the previous page?
I would also like to tell you that the Data Region (Table, List etc) has a KeepTogether property, which you can set to true to make sure that the content of the Data Region and all repeated sections are kept on one page, if possible.

Hello,
Can you please attach the master report file along with a sample data as well so that we can debug this further at our end?
I would also like to tell you that currently if a Table is inside the List Data region then empty blank pages might be created in between. We already have Case 146933 in our system to address this. For more information, you may go through this post:

Hello,
Thanks for providing the master report file.
I have checked this by creating a 20 rows database table and could not see the issue you are reporting. I would suggest you to please set the KeepTogether property of Table3 in your report to true to make sure that all the repeated sections of the Table3 are kept on one page (if possible).
If the issue persists then please provide us a sample data so that we can debug this issue further.

It still doesn't work after setting the KeepTogether property.
our reports used the master report in which we used the page header and hide it in the first page and i found that the length of the space in the first page is the same as the length of the page header.
Is this what DDR has done during viewing the report ?

Hello,
I have tested various scenarios related to hiding of Page header in Master report as well as Content report and the report which you have attached in your posts is working fine. In the master report, you set the PrintOnFirstPage property of the Page Header to false. This will make sure that any content reports which use this Master report will not print the Page Header on the first page.
Moreover, the empty space for the Page header on the first page will be collapsed and the Body section will move upwards to fill the white space. Please see the attached reports which I have created at my end.
I have tested this with latest version of DataDynamics Reports (1.6.1871.45).

So when the body section move upwards to fill the space will there be spaces left below or the spaces left will be filled with the contents that should be in the second page?

Hello,
I have been able to replicate this issue at my end. I can see that for the first page the empty white space generated because of Page Header is getting collapses because of Body region moving upwards. This generates empty white space at the bottom of the first page. I have entered this case in our system as Case 148625. You will be notified once a build containing a fix for this issue will be released.
