Bold and italic doesn't render to PDF
We've made several tests with this, and while a textbox with bold or italic renders correctly in a test environment, the Web Viewer in PDF mode doesn't ever render textboxes in Bold or Italic style correctly: they get the correct font size but the text is never bold.

We've zoomed in and printed - no bold or italic textboxes ever.

Attached, an example where the same report is shown in the End User Designer and in Web Viewer, PDF mode.

Hi,

Are you able to reproduce this if you render the report straight to PDF or by using the preview application shipped with the product?

Using the basic report attached I'm not able to reproduce this through the web viewer sample or through the windows forms preview application using build 1.6.1818.0 (released last week).  There have been some issues fixed which address how certain fonts render in PDF since 1.5.1052.0 was released, so if you haven't tried the latest build, please give that a try.

Thanks,

James

Indeed, we were happy to see the style fixes in 1818 and are using it Live on our server, as it also included the release of requested mail functionality.

I tried the viewer out, exported that to PDF. Perfect result. In the Web Viewer however, there seem to be some sort of difference.

Export from included Viewer to the left, Web Viewer to the right.

Yes, unfortunately when you preview a post any attachment you may have added is lost.  We have a new site in the works with an updated forum system, that won't have this issue.

Can you send us a PDF that is showing this issue.  We might be able to figure out what is in the PDF that is causing it not to display bold and traceback what is causing that to happen.

Thanks,

James

This is getting weirder by the second: while I don't recall any changes being made the Contract now displays bold properly, but when I create a Tester report with bold and italic - same font and size as in Contract none of them are reflected.

Thanks for posting the zip file.

I've created case 144374 to have the developers look at what is going on.

The team is testing for the VS2010 release right now, but I hope someone can look at it soon.

Thanks,

James
