I Need Excel Export, immediately

Hello
My Customers needs an Excel Export from the Analysis. Just for the values, not for Shapes and others...
When you think you have this export ?
Or who can i put the displayed Rows, Columns and Cells like summaries directly from the program? when it's possible, i write my own excel-export

I also think excel and pdf support would be a nice feature for my customer. DynamicCube had at least support for the excel format..

Hello,
Excel export in Data Dynamics Analysis will be available in the next major version.
Unfortunately, it will not be available with the current version of Data Dynamics Analysis.

This has been a topic for years. We dont know a date for delivery, more importantly we don’t know what "integration" means.
Clearly, product management drives to chase the developer market going to the web, satisfied being an end point with a different twist on GUI theme. Unfortunately this puts the product in a position of just content deliver rather than part of a continuous steam of consciousness that knowledge workers require to get their jobs done. I’m not confident that DDA product management understands nor values the difference between the two.
I've commented before that I think this is a serious mistake given the greater need in the market to co-exist with Excel. We brought this product with the hopes leveraging knowledge worker productivity and instead it just turned out to be another "cute" way of rendering data that has been rejected by the mass of users we are supposed to serve.
These days IT is finding itself having to actually help the knowledge worker be more productive and their voice is being heard when efforts like this fail.
I think the most disappointing aspect of DDA is that the potential for greatness is reduced to dangling a carrot in front of a horse. This has been the most frustrating part of the whole exercise.

Hi Joe,
As Amit mentioned Excel export will be in v2 of the product which will be entering beta in a month or two. In addition to Excel we are also adding several other significant enhancements: a new platform, a new way of analyzing date-based data, smarter heuristics on just doing the right thing, and many other smaller fixes and features.
A while ago we added a CSV export to help bridge the gap until we could implement a proper Excel export. The data provided is the same, just lacking the crosstab formatting.
We are constantly looking for new ways in which we can make the Analysis product better, much of that comes from what users have suggested; and in v2 we are fulfilling the 2 most common requests (Silverlight and Excel). We will be following up on the v2 release with other requested features, PDF export currently the first one on my list to implement.

Is there any update on the next release of DDA? I'm very excited to use this tool, however, Export to Excel is a feature that nearly all of my users require. Thanks in advance.
