End user designer produces infinite Print Preview pages.

Hello!

I'm making a barcode label the size of 51x25mm.

To make sure I don't try to print outside of the label (the printer head does not really like that) I try set the size of Body and Report to 51x25mm.

This seems to make the print preview add new pages in an infinite loop that I have to break by right click -> cancel.

If I add one mm to the height and width of the Report (52x26mm) this does not happen.

It also does not happen if I assign a width to the barcode that is less than the width of the Report (like 49mm) so I guess the barcode actually takes more width than it is supposed to making it not fit on any page and so the print preview renderer makes an infinite number of "page breaks" ...

Could you please send us the RDLX file of the report which causes the infinite pages?

Sure ... It is easy to re-create. You will need to change the data source of course.

Hello,
I was able to reproduce the problem and entered change request #142866 to address the issue.
Work-around the issue is setting report's page width to 52mm, the report is rendered fine after that.

Case 142866 – ‘The infinite number of pages is generated for the barcode-based report with certain configuration.’ has been resolved in the latest version of Data Dynamics Reports (1.6.1818.8). You may download this build from here:
