We are using arview2.cab. The certificat used by CAB is not longer valid. From 31.07.2009. This is big problem for us.

Grief,

Could you please let us know whether you are getting any error message due to the certificate being expired? If yes then could you please let us know the complete error message which you are receiving? I would like to tell you that when code signing certificates expire they are just not valid for signing new code. Previously signed code remains valid as long as it was signed before the certificate expired. You may find more information is at this link:

Also note "The countersignature method of time stamping allows for signatures to be verified even after the signing certificate has expired or been revoked. The time stamp allows the verifier to reliably know the time that the signature was affixed and thereby trust the signature if it was valid at that time." You may want to refer to this link for more information on it.

We are using ActiveReports on IIS as webPage. Our application retriving reports in Internet Explorer. We are using ActiveX web Viewer in browser. We geth this ActiveX Viewer to the client over arview2.cab and this cab using your certificate, witch has expired at 31.07.2009. WebBorwser is blocking tihs cab. Until 31.07.2009 was working well. In attachment is error mesage as picture. The error mesage is:
Windows has blocked this software because it can't verify the publisher.
Name: arview2.cab
OK button.
Publisher: Unknown Publisher

Ok, fine. I downloaded the new arview2.cab, but how can I use it? My problem is: I have to view a Report in a website, but the certificate has expired. The website use arview2.cab to run the report inside the browser.

Thanks in advance.

LeoSilva,

You need to replace the old arview2.cab file with the new updated cab file in your website project. In other words, you need to deploy the updated arview2.cab file with your project. This file should reside in the same folder as the Web Form with the ActiveX viewer.
