Saving as RDL

I'd like to try storing a DD Reports RDLX file in SQL Server Reporting Services 2005, to see if we can preview it using SSRS. I know that we should not use any of the DD extensions to RDL.

But how do you get an RDL file? Is it just a matter of renaming the RDLX file that DD saves in?

Thanks...

Re: Saving as RDL

Hello,

Reports generated by Data Dynamics Reports are based on RDL specifications, but we added some new features that are not supported by Reporting Services:

DataDynamics Report Enhancement: http://www.datadynamics.com/Products/ProductFeatures.aspx?Product=DDRPT&Topic=Enhancements%20from%20RDL

So most of the typical reports that don't use those features can be opened and previewed in Reporting Services by renaming the extension to RDL.

Thanks,
Gaurav
