Glossary Item Box
Using the Field Selection Adorner, you can quickly bind a Text Box to a field from your Data Set.
Once your report has at least one Data Set defined, you can use the Field Selection Adorner to bind a field to a Textbox. Hover your mouse over the TextBox and the adorner will appear:

Clicking on this adorner will bring up a context menu that lets you bind the Textbox to a specific field. If your report has only one Data Set, it will automatically use that Data Set to build the list of available fields:

If your report contains more than one Data Set, it will allow you to choose which Data Set to use:

After selecting a field from the context menu, the Value property of the Text Box will be set appropriately and the selected field will show inside the Textbox control on the design surface:

Note: Selecting a field through this adorner functions the same way as if the field were dragged from the Data Explorer into the textbox. This means that if the field is selected in a TextBox report item in the detail row of a Table then the appropriate header text will be added automatically, and any auto-aggregation that normally applies when a field is dragged will be applied as well. |

Tip: When you place a textbox in the Page Header or Page Footer sections, this Field Selection Adorner menu will be populated with all available Global and User expressions instead of any Data Set field names. |
