Glossary Item Box

A bookmark link is similar to a hyperlink, except that it moves the viewer to another area in the report instead of linking to a web page. There are two steps involved in creating this type of link. You must identify the place you allow a user to jump to with a Bookmark ID, and you must share that ID with the item that will link to it.

Providing a Bookmark ID

The Bookmark ID is like a URL in that it provides the information that the report viewer needs to locate the report item. You need to provide a Bookmark ID for any report item to which you want to allow users to jump via a Bookmark Link. To provide a Bookmark ID, right-click the report item and choose Properties. The Bookmark ID is located on the Navigation page. You can set a Bookmark ID on any report item or group.

Creating a Bookmark Link

To create a bookmark link, click the ellipsis button next to the Action property of the report item, choose the Jump to bookmark option, and supply a valid Bookmark ID. Bookmark links can only be added to the following report items:

Bookmark Links in Exports

Export Type Effect on Bookmark Links
HTML Bookmark links jump to the report item marked with the Bookmark ID in the browser.
