Banded List

The banded list data region is a collection of freeform bands with a detail band that repeats data in any report item for every row in the dataset. By default, the banded list is composed of three bands: the header, detail, and footer. You can add group header and group footer bands, and nest groups. You can also nest other data regions within the banded list in any band other than the detail band.

Grouping in the banded list is performed in much the same way as the table data region. You can provide a grouping expression for each group, and also sort the groups. You cannot sort the detail data in a banded list, so any sorting of this type must be done at the query level.
